The workshop begins with powerpoint and discussion on setting up a gravity ice dye station using a deep tub/basin/sink and a rack to fit over your basin. Following lecture, discussion, demonstration, partcipants will ice dye two to three 4.5 yards of prewound warps using fiber reactive dyes/soda ash with guided support. Addition topics discussed include information from my new published ice dyeing workshop monograph, colors and dye intensities, samples, and applications to weaving.

Materials Needs: 4-5 Fiber Reactive Dyes, pre-wounds warps of tencel or cotton, deep tub/basin/sink, rack that fits over tub, cardboard OR rubber baseboard to contain ice), approximately 7 lbs ice, and clothespins/clips. Specific material list and instructions will come 24-48 hours after purchase - with a link to Dropbox. Zoom link is emailed just prior workshop.
