Low water Immersion and Ice Dye Zoom Workshop - July 25-26, 2025

$150.00

July 25-26, 2025 10 am - 3 pm EST

Day 1 uses a low water immersion method for warp and weft yarn (plant-based) using two dye colors (warm yellow and a cool color of your choosing) in quart-sized containers. Fabric and/or dinner napkins are also used in combination with ice and one additional color to create a gradient. All dyes will be mixed and tested on day 1.

Day 2 uses the same three dyes and the method of gravity ice dyeing (rack and tub required) to create a coordinating warp yarn. The afternoon will focus on using the leftover muck and possible ways to combine the warp yarns created for use in a weaving project.
